Three Hamilton County Men Indicted for Attempted Murder

A Clermont County Grand Jury, today, indicted Errick L. Davis with four counts of Attempted Murder with firearm specifications, four counts of Felonious Assault with firearms specifications, Discharging a Firearm on or near a Prohibited Premises with firearms specifications, and two counts of Having Weapons Under Disability, for prior juvenile adjudications in Hamilton County for Burglary and Aggravated Riot. He faces a maximum of 78-83.5 years in prison. Daviyon R. Lunsford was indicted four counts of Attempted Murder with firearm specifications, four counts of Felonious Assault with firearms specifications, Discharging a Firearm on or near a Prohibited Premises with firearms specifications. He faces a maximum of 62-67.5 years in prison. Daveon Stillwell was indicted for Obstructing Justice. He faces a maximum of three years in prison.
On August 21, 2026 around 3:30 AM, officers responded to 130 East Main St. in Batavia for a report of a shooting. It was reported that a vehicle driven by a juvenile and occupied by three of his friends were on the way home from Waffle House, when a black BMW began flashing its lights at them. Believing this vehicle to be one of their friends, they followed it to a home in a nearby neighborhood at 1341 Breckenridge Way in Amelia.
Upon arriving at the home, three males got out of the BMW and one male brandished a firearm at their vehicle. Quickly, the vehicle driven by the juvenile backed away from the home and fled the scene. In leaving, the vehicle struck a mailbox. The vehicle stopped nearby to examine the damage from striking the mailbox. After turning back onto Amelia Olive Branch Rd., the BMW reappeared, approaching them at a high rate of speed. Again, the vehicle driven by the juvenile attempted to leave the situation, only to be confronted with a green laser being pointed at them, followed by multiple rounds of gunfire.
Clermont County Sheriff’s Deputies returned to the area of Breckenridge Way, where they were able to locate the suspect vehicle. Clermont County SWAT secured the residence and a search warrant was executed, leading to the discovery of Daviyon Lunsford, Errick Davis, and Daveon Stillwell in the residence. Ultimately, the execution of the search warrant led to the recovery of multiple rounds of ammunition and a Springfield Hellcat 9mm firearm used in the shooting was located in a basement vent.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Lunsford was the driver of the vehicle, while Davis and Stillwell were passengers in the vehicle. Davis was the individual who fired multiple shots at the victims. One of Davis’s bullets struck the trunk of the victims’ vehicle. Clermont County Sheriff’s detectives processed the victims’ vehicle and an analysis of the bullet that struck the trunk of the vehicle determined that the bullet had been traveling directly toward the back of the driver, had it not been stopped by an armrest in the vehicle.
The defendants will be arraigned on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10:00 am in Clermont County Common Court.
