Since the time of the events giving rise to the original dispatch, detectives with the Cincinnati Police Department, along with assistant prosecuting attorneys with the Clermont County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, have personally interviewed all relevant parties and witnesses, reviewed videos, photographs, police reports, and medical records. I have discussed this investigation in depth with my assistant prosecutors have been kept apprised of all developments throughout my office’s handling of this case.

During the course of this investigation, it has been determined that criminal charges are not warranted against Mr. Steve Raleigh, as there is no evidence that he violated any criminal law. Accordingly, as to Mr. Steve Raleigh, this investigation is closed. All legal counsel representing the various parties involved have been notified of this decision.

With respect to the others involved in this incident, assistant prosecutors with the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office will present the evidence and information obtained during this investigation, as well as the applicable criminal law, to the Hamilton County Grand Jury for its consideration in the upcoming weeks.
