Clermont County Prosecuting Attorney Mark J. Tekulve announces the indictment of Amanda Greger, age 37, of Goshen on 9 counts, including Felonious Assault, Endangering Children, and Tampering with Evidence. She faces up to 23 years in prison.

She will be arraigned on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Clermont County Common Pleas Court.

On November 9, 2025, Greger was the sole caretaker for 6 children. She was babysitting four children and brought along two of her own. Greger was a regular babysitter for this family, as she and the mother are lifelong friends. On this evening, Greger began drinking vodka before midnight. She accompanied the alcohol with THC and unprescribed muscle relaxers. Greger was admittedly intoxicated.

The mother of the four children was at work until the following morning. When she arrived home, she observed Greger in a bloody and vomit-stained hoodie, standing over her 1-year-old daughter, L.S. Mom immediately saw blood coming out of her baby’s mouth and eyes. She was unable to awaken or rouse her child.

Mom hurriedly took the child to the Emergency Department, where she remained in the ICU for a few weeks. L.S. suffered a significant brain bleed, retinal hemorrhaging, and a concern for injury to her vertebrae, among other injuries.

Doctors indicated this was non-accidental trauma and not the result of a medical condition.

Greger was interviewed by Goshen detectives and when asked what happened to the child because there was no doubt she did something, Greger responded, “Right, I know that. A baby just doesn’t end up injured for no reason.” She further stated, “If I can do something like that and not remember, maybe I am a monster.”

“My office is committed to fighting for justice for this child, who suffered immensely at the hands of the woman who was supposed to care for her,” Prosecuting Attorney Mark J. Tekulve.
