Four-Legged Assistant Helps Change Lives – Canine Companions® Facility Dog Joins the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office Team on August 31, 2026
Batavia, Ohio – Motivation and support come in many forms, including a cold nose and a warm heart. Clermont County Prosecutor Mark J. Tekulve and his office welcomed its newest staff member Canine Companions® Facility Dog Germaine. Germaine will assist handler Allyson Ware during her work with crime victims as a member of the Victim Assistance Program.
Since 1975, Canine Companions has bred, raised and expertly trained service dogs in over 40 commands designed to assist and motivate clients with special needs. Germaine has also been selected to work in the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office because of his unobtrusive and calm demeanor necessary in a criminal justice setting.
Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office
The Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office serves crime victims in the Common Pleas, Municipal, and Juvenile court system. Germaine will be assigned to the Victim Assistance Program serving crime victims alongside his handler senior victim advocate Allyson Ware. The addition of Germaine to the team will provide an extra layer of criminal justice support to all crime victims served in Clermont County.
